this isn't the first time, and it won't be the last.
for somewhere in the ancient past, an event occurs
that will shake all mankind to the core.
the great societies of our past ages
have left us warnings - devoid of language
versed, in the universal numerical diction
their clues were hardly veiled

the sky glows an orange vibration
as the ground begins to shake
the world shifts - and is remade
our ice caps break.
for they knew all along that he would come again
and they knew what was at stake
for they knew all along of the return
and they saw this as an unfit end for our human race

they saw it as a snake
the winged disk
a solar plague
he came to teach - but could not stay
through fear, our world was taught
it's understandings of grace
through fear, in promise
that I will return one day

so they designed a game for us to play
devised in shrouds to keep the sacred knowledge
hidden from the profane
and every single day you and I contribute to
and play their game
because they knew that if we knew
that our world would collapse and
fall into panic state
so
they designed a way to keep us enslaved
